VinFast, a subsidiary of Vingroup JSC—one of Vietnam’s largest conglomerates—aims to make EVs accessible to everyone. As a pure-play EV manufacturer, the company has earned its reputation for producing high-quality electric SUVs, e-scooters, and e-buses. In line with its mission, VinFast is aggressively expanding its global footprint by bolstering manufacturing capacities and establishing dealership networks across North America, Europe, Asia, and now the Middle East.

Ta Xuan Hien, CEO of VinFast Middle East, described the launch as a critical step in the company’s global EV market presence. “We are proud to partner with Gulf nations in the electrification revolution, offering smart and powerful EVs with exceptional warranties,” he said. Hien further emphasized the company’s commitment to making EVs more accessible to communities around the world.

The UAE Launch: A Major Step Forward

The Dubai dealership, established in partnership with Al Tayer Motors, opened its doors to the public on October 28, 2024. Located in the heart of Dubai, the 1,000-square-meter facility features a cutting-edge service workshop and showcases VinFast’s latest EV models: the VF 6, VF 7, VF 8, and VF 9. With its flagship VF 9 offering a spacious seven-passenger capacity and all-wheel drive, VinFast is positioned to attract a diverse range of consumers in the region.

VinFast’s collaboration with Charge&Go, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding earlier this month, will further enhance the region’s EV infrastructure by promoting the installation of public charging stations across the UAE.

Expansion Plans in the Gulf Region

In addition to its UAE debut, VinFast plans to expand its presence with dealerships in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain by the end of 2024. These strategic expansions are set to drive the adoption of sustainable transportation throughout the region.

The VF 8 is expected to lead the charge as the first model available in the Middle East, with pricing starting at $47,500 for the Eco trim and $51,500 for the Plus trim. The VF 6 and VF 7, compact and sporty SUVs, are anticipated to follow soon, further broadening the company’s appeal.

Founded in 2017, VinFast achieved remarkable success within a few short years. The company constructed a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Haiphong, Vietnam, in just 21 months and emerged as Vietnam’s top-selling car brand by October 2024, surpassing foreign and gasoline-powered competitors.

In the Middle East, VinFast’s exclusive partnerships with prominent dealers, including Al Tayer Motors (UAE), Al Mana Holdings (Qatar), and Bahwan Automobiles & Trading (Oman), signify its robust market entry strategy.
